Dr. Alison S. Kang is a board-certified Dermatologist, specializing in cosmetic and laser dermatology, and skin cancer surgery.
Dr. Kang is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
She attended Johns Hopkins University where she majored in both Public Health Studies and Spanish. She then received her medical doctorate at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. While in medical school, Dr. Kang graduated at the top 10% of her medical school class and became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a highly selective medical honors society that values scholarly achievement and leadership
After completing her Dermatology residency, Dr. Kang continued on to complete two additional fellowships in Cosmetic Dermatology and Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Kang currently serves as the Associate Fellowship Director for Cosmetic Dermatology at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center, where she works to train the next generation of cosmetic Dermatologists.
She is the author of several book chapters and dozens of peer-reviewed research articles in Dermatology journals on topics including melanoma, melanoma immunotherapy, non-melanoma skin cancers, laser acne treatment, radiofrequency for wrinkle reduction, and non-invasive body contouring.
Dr. Kang is trilingual and speaks English, Korean and Spanish.
